The Stables
A working stable block with horses on site — box stalls down both sides of a wide aisle, exposed steel trusses overhead and hard light punching through the far doorway.
This is the location that arrives with its own cast. The stable block runs long and straight, box stalls facing each other across a broad concrete aisle, horses looking out over the doors. The far entrance blows out to white, giving a natural backlight down the length of the building that most units would spend a day rigging.
Overhead, black steel trusses and a pitched metal roof read as industrial rather than rustic — it photographs closer to a hangar than a barn, which widens what it can double for.
It is a genuine working facility, not a dressed set, so the detail holds up under a long lens: worn tack, rubber matting, feed buckets, hose runs.
Any work involving the animals is coordinated through us, including handlers, welfare cover and the scheduling required to shoot around feed and exercise routines.
